A spike in travel demand in the neighboring country Oman
Visit visa holders are finding alternative arrangements to exit the country as per the new visa law. Travel agents have introduced special visa change packages.
Earlier this week the rule to allow visit visa holders in the UAE to extend their stay from within the country was discontinued.
Here’s some of the packages that are now on offer.
- Exit by bus: AED 599 to AED 850
Online travel agency Musafir.com is offering a visa change package for AED 799/- Awjah Tours is offering visitors the option to change visa status by bus. The company is offering a 30 days visa stay starting AED 599/- and 60 day visa for AED 799/-
- Airport to Airport: From AED 999/- to AED 1,999/-
Musafir.com offers an airport to airport visa change service for AED 1,100/-. Ajwah Tours is offering a 30 days visa that allows visitors to exit and re-enter the country by air starting from AED 999/- and 60 days visa starting at AED 1,999/-
Similar packages are being offered to Oman on flydubai flights for AED 1,050/- for a 30 days visa and AED 1,300 for 60 days visa by Smart Travel.
Visitors must exit the country once their visa validity is over. The rule on renewal was out in place to crackdown on those who have been staying in the country indefinitely on visit visas.
