22nd February, Friday
Little ones take centre stage at the Yas Kidz Fest happening at du Arena on Yas Island until 23rd February. What’s in store for kids? An array of fantastic activities including magic show, kids silent disco, little chef zone, soccer and cricket zone, and mad science discover zone. There are also food stations to fuel up visitors. UAE-based wordsmiths and musicians step on the stage armed with original materials for another edition of Rooftop Rhythms. The long-running community event provides veteran and budding artists the platform to showcase their talent and creativity before a supportive audience. Free. From 8pm. 23rd February, Saturday
Revisit one of the most beloved classic children’s films at Cinema Space. The Red Balloon follows the story of a young boy in Paris who discovers a stray balloon that seems to have a mind of its own. Also showing is White Mane, which is about stallion, a leader of a herd of wild horses and a young fisherman. Free. 4pm-5.30pm. Manarat Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island. Khayal, the first session of a series on tolerance, will teach kids between four and 12 years old the virtues of openness and acceptance.
