Covid-19 Updates: PCR Tests Now Cost AED 85 At SEHA Centres

SEHA says the new cost for the nose swab tests is effective immediately across all of its testing centres.

From time to time, Abu Dhabi has taken appropriate measures to contain the spread of Covid-19. It is one of the leading countries that has conducted a maximum number of tests per person to ensure the safety of its citizens.

During July and August, the UAE ranked no: 1 in the world for testing for Covid-19, and around 2 million tests were conducted in various laboratories throughout the country. These tests helped the country to reduce the number of cases by 21%, effectively.

There are two types of tests for covid-19. One is the nasal swab test and another is the DPI laser test. To enable access to the nasal swab testing facility to everyone, Abu Dhabi Health Services company – SEHA  has announced through a social media post, it’s the decision to reduce the cost of the test to AED 85. The decision to change the rates will take immediate effect and all the SEHA health centers throughout the UAE will charge the same rate for the test.

To enter into Abu Dhabi covid-19 negative test for the past 48 hours is necessary and after entry into Abu Dhabi, 4th and 8th-day compulsory covid-19 test should be done. Failing to comply with the rule will attract a penalty.
