The Sheikh Zayed Festival returns with 750 public performances

Fun-filled activities lined up starting 18th November in Abu Dhabi

The Sheikh Zayed Festival is back with a bigger picture starting 18th November. The four month long festival will feature more than 4,000 events and weekly fireworks as per the festival’s Higher Organizing Committee.

The festival is held at Al Wathba under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and the guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.

The festival aims to promote the Emirati heritage and enhance Abu Dhabi’s status a a top tourist and cultural destination.

Under the slogan ‘ UAE: Uniting Civilizations’ there will be 750 public performances, fun-filled activities and shows from various heritage conservation, education and entertainment. The festival concludes on 18th March 2023.

The festival will include popular fountain show, fireworks, laser shows, Union Parade, celebrations of the National Day, New Year’s Eve as well as Global Parade, Al Wathba Custom show and other events.

The festival is named after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father.

Visitors can learn more about the Emirati civilizations and culture through authentic customs and traditions. The festival sheds light on the role of Sheikh Zayed. This is seen through a plethora of events and activities.

The festival will have folklore shows, live music, and traditional crafts markets.

Several new activations will be announced in the coming days.
