With major events hosted in the UAE, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has seen increase in visitors
In the past six months there has been an increase in visitors to the UAE with major events like Expo 2020 Dubai, Fifa World Cup, 05th edition of UMEX and Simtex amongst others.
During the period of October 2021 – March 2022, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has seen over 1.26 million visitors. A delegation of 2,000 high-level visitors visited the Grand Mosque. These include presidents of states, foreign ministers, ambassadors, consuls, and parliament speakers.
Furthermore, 51 visiting academic institutions from home and abroad made their way to the mosque. 293 members of international media networks, including those from Argentina, Ecuador, and Luxembourg.
A live broadcast from the mosque was broadcast on Brazilian television, highlighting its artistic aspects and its values of peace and coexistence.
The number of visitors who came for prayers at the mosque during this period totaled over 228,000 people. Keeping track of relevant events, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has drawn up comprehensive plans according to high standards. The mosque provides a truly comprehensive experience to guests from all over the world.
There are field teams offering visitors good services, specialist action teams that coordinate delegation schedules, and part-time cultural tour guide teams.
