From over two hundred entries to ten contestants to just three worthy finalists – the Yasalam 2019′s Emerging Talent Competition is gearing up for an exciting finish.
As it stands, the three remaining aspiring musicians after the recent live session ‘Unplugged’ are DB Gad, Ibby VK and Xenai.
The trio delivered an impressive performance enough to earn the nods of judges that include Olly Wood from dance music duo Hollaphonic and multi-instrumentalist and orchestral composer Reiner Erlings.
Prior to the ‘Unplugged’ event, all ten finalists underwent training and workshops designed to further improve their skills and performances, while giving them insights to prepare them for stardom.
The stage is now set for the finale, with the three talents competing for the last time on 28th November at the Village, du Arena at the opening night of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019.
Prizes that await the ultimate winner include a chance to perform during the F1 season, residency gigs and the possibility to get signed by a recording label.
The Yasalam Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition is currently in its fifth year.
It gives the region’s homegrown musicians a platform to hone their craft and an opportunity to launch their music careers through mentor-ship, media exposure and performances.
The contest’s previous winners include FAFA, Danny Aridi, Hasan Malik and S.O.S.
