UAE Residency visa cancellation

The government has extended the deadline for UAE residents to leave the country to November 2020.

The Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has tweeted a new timeline for UAE residents staying in the UAE on expired visas. Earlier the residents were expected to exit the country by 11th September but the deadline now has been moved on to 17th November 2020.

Staying in the region beyond this timeline as of now can be subject to fines.

The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has also extended the deadline for holders of expired entry permits by one month. The ICA said the decision to extend the deadline until 11th September 2020 is to enable those who have overstayed to leave the country without having to pay fines.

Stay tuned to this space as we add updates based on announcements from the authorities.
