Hafilat card is used for public bus service in Abu Dhabi
Ever thought of using public bus transport in Abu Dhabi? Abu Dhabi has its very own Hafilat card for public bus transport all over Abu Dhabi.
The Department of Municipality and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre ( ITC ) recently announced new updates to make your journey easier. The Hafilat card is a rechargeable smart card which can be recharged at designated locations around Abu Dhabi and now online for convenience of the commuters.
Here’s how you can recharge your Hafilat card online for a hassel free ride in Abu Dhabi
Step 1: Visit Hafilat’s online services here
Once you are on the website, you will find buttons on the right hand side offering your register, recharge and pay fines service options. If you want a personalised Hafilat account, then you can register the account. If not, you can continue with the recharge option.
Step 2: Enter serial number
At the bottom of the back side of your card there is a serial number which needs to be entered to recharge your Hafilat account. Once you’ve entered the details, click ok for a green check mark.
Step 3: Enter amount
You will now see your current balance in your card. Click the recharge option which starts from AED 10 to AED 100. Select the amount you want to top-up and proceed.
Step 4: Make Payment
Once you have selected the top-up value, you will get the ‘Product was added to your basket’ message where you can view your basket or make a payment. If you want to continue with the agreed recharge amount, continue and click the payment button.
Enter the card details for your Hafilat recharge and continue with the online payment. Some bank cards need additional verification steps for the payment confirmation.
Step 5: Confirmation
Upon successful payment, you will receive your order number, a text message, and an email confirmation. The credit amount might take up to 48 hours to reflect in your Hafilat account. If you are looking for an immediate recharge, you can recharge at one of the convenient kiosks or convenient stores in Abu Dhabi.
