Review: Exceptional Moroccan iftar at Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan

This Ramadan take a trip to Morocco at Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan

The Holy month of Ramadan is an exceptional time celebrating iftar and suhoor with family and friends. Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan is hosting a unique Moroccan iftar. We were glad to be invited to their Iftar at Pepper restaurant.

Since its the season of Ramadan, every restaurant and hotel is lit up with their Ramadan glitter. From their decor to the food, the tradition is everywhere. We’ve been to many restaurants for iftar and suhoor in the past years. However this was completely unique and different.

As we walked into the Pepper restaurant, the entire vibe was from Morocco. The staff were dressed in traditional Moroccan attire welcoming guests, the decor and music gave the Moroccan vibe. The entire iftar buffet was Moroccan themed.

Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan is known for their warmth hospitality and we were knew this would be a memorable experience. At sunset as we broke our fast, we headed straight to the food counter to explore what different Moroccan dishes were prepared. From the soup, salads, mains and desserts, the choices were plenty and exceptional.

The dishes are traditionally cooked by their Guest Chef who has flown all the way from Morocco.

Some of the main dishes we’ve tried and recommend are lamb tagine, chicken tagine, harrira soup, seffa, dawood basha, mudardara, stuffed lamb shoulder, mini batbaout, mechouia salad, za’atar potato, traditional hummus, penne Arabiatta,
