The Abu Dhabi Police handed out umbrella hats and cold water to workers
The Abu Dhabi Police handed out mini umbrella hats and cold water to outdoor workers sweating it out in the scorching heat. The Traffic and Patrols Directorate has launched this initiative. The objective is to bring necessary comfort, amidst the rising temperatures whilst protecting them.
The traffic and patrols team go around town handing out water, milk and mini-umbrellas to blue-collar workers maintaining public parks and gardens, as well as farmers. They are ensuring safety from the risks of heat exhaustion, sunstroke and other summer illnesses.
The initiative seeks to enhance the societal role of the AD Police in ensuring the safety and protection of all members of society. “The drive aims at recognizing the efforts and ensure the safety of those working under tough conditions and who endure hot temperatures in outdoor sites,” said Abu Dhabi Police.
The Anti-Narcotics Department in Al Ain has launched a similar initiative. The ‘Make It Cool To Them’ initiative distributes umbrella hats and cold water to workers and farmers in the Garden City.
Thousands of workers are benefiting from this great initiative from the team across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
