This groundbreaking project is a testament to ADU’s dedication to advancing sustainability through its Innovate Strategy (ADUi), achieved in partnership with Midbar, a leading South Korean smart ag-tech company, and H.E. Rashed Bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri Holding company (RBK).
The AirFarm, an inflatable and portable agricultural facility. It reflects ADU’s unwavering commitment to accelerating sustainable and innovative solutions within the agricultural landscape. This visionary initiative seeks to empower students, faculty, and the wider UAE community with practical, inclusive, and sustainable strategies to tackle agricultural challenges and stimulate innovative thinking.
The AirFarm provides a dynamic platform for experiential learning, encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, nurtures innovation, and contributes to the UAE’s vision of a more sustainable and innovative future.
This project seamlessly integrates a wide array of cutting-edge technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), complemented by over 15 innovative solutions.
Such a comprehensive approach creates a self-sustaining ecosystem that directly addresses food security and the broader agricultural landscape.
Abu Dhabi University, which revolves around three core pillars: innovation, research, and incubation, collectively fuels the growth of innovation and entrepreneurship education within the UAE.
