Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Sites To Resume Creative Workshops

The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi is resuming its visual and performing arts sessions and courses for people to enroll.

The cultural sites and community sites have usually run cart workshops and courses for people but were paused for a while. The DCT Abu Dhabi cultural sites will resume from 8th November in Manarat Al Saadiyat, Cultural Foundation, Bait Al Oud, Berklee Abu Dhabi, and Al Qattara Arts Centre in Al Ain.

At the Manarat Al Saadiyat Art Studio, there are sessions on illustration, collage ceramics, painting and drawing while Berklee Abu Dhabi will be conducting private musical instrument sessions in addition to classes on Turntable Techniques and DJ Skills, Songwriting Essentials, and Digital Music Production courses. For workshops on painting, drawing and calligraphy you can browse through courses at the Cultural Foundation’s Al Marsam Al Hor and Bait Al Khatt. Bait Al Oud will be having concert rehearsals along with its classes for Oud, Qanun, Violin, and Vocals.

Residents in Al-Ain can enjoy a dose of creative learning at the Al Qattara Arts Centre where there are art workshops including drawing and painting, decoupage, calligraphy and mosaic.

Cultural sites to Abu Dhabi

All the venues will ensure that they are adhering to the highest safety protocols so that the students can attend the classes without any concerns. They will have to undergo thermal screening, temperature checks and exercise social distancing in the areas. Everyone will be required to wear masks as well; both students and staff. Every class will have a maximum capacity of 10 people who will be seated at safe distances from each other and the teacher and the students will also be told to bring their own equipment and tools as no sharing of materials will be allowed in line with the preventive measures in place.

The team will be disinfecting the areas after each session and all equipment and computers being used by the students will be sterilized.
