The resort has opened it Al Mabeet Desert Camp exclusively for Ramadan, giving families and friends a chance to take part in an authentic, Bedouin-inspired iftar and suhoor.
A multi-sensory journey through UAE customs and traditions allows guests to fully experience the day-to-day lives of the Bedouin tribes.
Guests will be offered a sumptuous meal, enjoy live entertainment by a talented oud player, and have the opportunity to take photos with the resort’s camels and horses.
The authentic decorations and artefacts and desert activities further add to the feel that guests have entered an exclusive Bedouin escape.
For the daily iftar, the expert chefs will be demonstrating the historical art of Zarb cooking, which involves barbecuing delicious meats deep underground. Apart from these traditional delights, guests can also choose from a large selection of Middle Eastern seasonal favourites, as well as Indian and Asian specialties.
The menu includes appetisers such as colourful hot and cold mezze, fresh and crunchy salads, and hearty soups. Live stations will offer freshly baked manakish and shawarma, as well as main dishes such as shrimp in harra sauce and chicken molokhia.
Favorite sweet treats includes kataif ashta, kunafa, koulaj, classic umm ali, home baked indulgences such as red velvet cake and brownies, and light and tasty French pastries.
Meanwhile, the irresistible à la carte suhoor menu is complemented with live entertainment including an elegant oud player. The scrumptious spread includes a selection of the most sumptuous Arabic and Levantine flavours, with an extensive array of flavorful shisha available to order until 1 am.
Those who wish to use the opportunity to bond and grow closer together as a big group, can choose to enhance their experience by booking a customised VIP area within the luxurious setting of the private camp.
Iftar at Al Mabeet Desert Camp is available daily throughout the month of Ramadan.
