Feeling bored? Join this e-game tournament that promises to get the entire family active during lockdown.
The UAE E-Games Challenges and Tournament launched by Baniyas Club can be played remotely and is in cooperation with ‘GoGamers’, an entity specialising in e-games.
There are two main categories for families to get their teeth into; first off is electronic and video games and the second is an exercise challenge, including actual movements with physical efforts.
This is of course has the backing of the World Health Organisation which has tied up with e-games platforms to encourage playing games at home to help social distancing measures.
Anybody can play the games, whether you’re a citizen or resident of the UAE. It aims to motivate all segments of the society to continue doing physical exercises and maintain a healthy body.
Abdulrahman Al Mansoori, head of Baniyas Club Strategic Committee, said: “We are keen to use technology and social media to support social relations among members of the society in a positive way and to encourage sports activities that enhances fitness and immunity system.”
