These Abu Dhabi Beaches Are Now Open

Get ready for a dip...

Beaches

Get your swimwear ready, find your bucket and spade as you could soon be heading down to the shoreline to cool off.

Hotel beaches in Abu Dhabi have begun to reopen after observing guidelines set out by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi at the beginning of June 2020.

Saadiyat Island seems to be the first location in the capital to open its beaches and hopefully more are set to follow.

The beaches of three of the island’s hotels are now open for business and sunbeds have been set out following ‘social distancing’ rules. The beaches, for now, are open for hotel guests only.

But don’t worry if you’re not staying at any of the hotels and are missing the beach, murmurings on the Saadiyat Beach Club’s social media pages suggest that its beach may be opening soon.

Staying on social media, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas announced on its Instagram page that its beach is open for business, along with its restaurants and bars.

Book a staycation at Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas and you’ll get access to its glorious beach again.

The popular gastro pub Hamilton’s located in the Resort has also opened its doors, along with Nasma Beach Bar, which is open on Fridays and Saturdays.

Following suit, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island beach is open, albeit to guests only. Not only will you get to dive into the clear blue waters of the sea, but guests can dine in style at the hotel’s six restaurants.

So, although not all beaches are open just yet, this looks to be a promising start to the reopening of the capital’s beloved beaches.
