Penalties can be paid through app, website and physical service centres
A new awareness campaign has been launched to avail discounts on traffic fines in Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists who have committed traffic offence to avail the initiative.
Motorists are provided with a 35% discount if they pay the traffic fines within 2 months ( 60 days ) of committing the offence and 25% discount in a year.
The campaign is to motivate vehicle owners to pay traffic violations, enhance public awareness of the benefits of early payment of traffic fines and the consequences of delaying in clearing the fines.
The drive also increase public awareness of the facilities and channels through which they can pay the fines.
Several channels for paying traffic violations including Digital channels of the Abu Dhabi government “Tamm”. Traffic fine violators can also pay through police’s customer service and happiness platforms. You can also pay through mobile applications of banks in cooperation with five banks in the UAE.
These include
- Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank ( ADCB )
- Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank ( ADIB )
- First Abu Dhabi Bank ( FAB )
- Mashreq Al Islami
- Emirates Islamic Bank
To avail this service drivers must have credit cards issued from one of these banks.
