Take That to Ignite Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix Opening!

Legendary British pop group Take That takes the stage at Mina Zayed on 13th January. Get ready for an electrifying start to the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix.

This unprecedented live performance by Take That marks a historic moment for SailGP, presented by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

On the opening day of the high-speed race, the trio—Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen—will treat the audience to an unforgettable evening. Featuring their greatest hits like “Back for Good” and “Patience.” Fans can also expect to hear tracks from their chart-topping ninth studio album, “This Life,” released in November 2023. Notably, the album was the highest-selling from a UK artist in 2023, outselling the entire Top 25 combined.

SailGP, touted as “the world’s most exciting racing on water,” showcases top sailors competing fiercely in hydro foiling F50 catamarans capable of reaching speeds up to 100km/h. This event will be the first time SailGP incorporates a live music performance, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the thrilling championship.

Take That, formed in 1989, has a rich history, initially as a five-piece act with members including Robbie Williams and Jason Orange. Following a hiatus after Williams’s departure in 1996, the trio made a sensational comeback in 2005. Their ninth studio album, “This Life,” further solidified their status in the music industry.

Don’t miss this iconic performance by Take That, who have graced the UAE stage before, adding another memorable chapter to their musical journey.

Tickets to SailGP, including regular and premier tickets to the Waterfront Grandstand (priced at AED 210 and AED 475, respectively), provide access to the Take That concert.
