Qasr Al Watan offers visitors the opportunity to explore artistic masterpieces unique to the Palace of the nation. These pieces of art come in different shapes and sizes. A true testament of traditional Arabian craftmanship and artistry.
You can find art installations in the four corners of the Great Hall. These installations create several unique optical illusions through skewed mirror surfaces. Visitors can have a closer look at the Great Hall’s intricate details. The interior architecture to Islamic mosaics across the walls visitors can experience them all.
The ‘Power of Words’ sculpture is one of the famous masterpiece housed at Qasr Al Watan. The gold-plated, cage-like sculpture was designed and crafted by Emirati Mattar Bin Lahej. This represents part of the legacy laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This reads as ” “Wealth is not money or oil, wealth lies in people and it is worthless if not dedicated to serve the people.”
You will find two more ‘Power of Words’ sculptures presented in silver displayed in the garden for visitors to observe. These sculptures also represent quotes by the founding Father.
