Shangri-La Abu Dhabi invites you to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival to reveal the spirit of reunion. It brings together the deeply rich cultures of China and Vietnam.
The tradition now in its 6th year will feature a collection of experiences from immersive set menus at signature restaurants Shang Palace and Hoi An to thoughtful gifting ideas in the shape of traditional mooncakes.
The Lantern and Moon Festival is traditionally celebrated in both Chinese & Vietnamese cultures. It takes place on the 15th day of the 08th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night.
Family gatherings along with lanterns of various sizes and shapes are lit as a way of prosperity and good fortune.
Guests are invited to part-take in the ‘lantern release’ festivities which takes place on 10th September.
Culinary enthusiast will be spoilt for choices as they opt for two 5-course dinner set menus at signature restaurants Shang Palace and Hoi Ann starting from AED 228/-.
Savour an oriental twist at Shangri-La Abu Dhabi’s signature brunch at Sofra. Dinners will be treated to authentic Chinese and Vietnamese delicacies starting at AED 298/-
Don’t forget to take the authentic mooncakes for gifting priced at AED 288/- for a box of four.
