The National Aquarium opens this weekend at Al Qana in Abu Dhabi

The most anticipated landmark for tourists, The National Aquarium, is all set to open today, 12th November at 10:00 am. The National Aquarium showcases a gigantic and diverse array of animals and animal-related activities to visitors from across the globe.

It is also one of the 11 anchors located in the Rabadan Area, within Al Qana and is the most iconic tourist and lifestyle destination in the capital. It is an innovative concept including video mapping technology and signage guides right on your mobile screens.

The most iconic species include the world famous Super Snake & Hammerhead Sharks. The longest reptile on display in the world and heroic creatures. The facility includes over 60 exhibits across 10 zones with an average of 2 hours to complete the journey.

The National Aquarium has been on a mission to honor The Emirates’ relationship with the Arabian Gulf. The opening coincides with the UAE’s 50th anniversary.

In addition to its spectacular biodiversity, it boasts an array of unforgettable experiences. An immersive experience with glass bottom dhow tours and personal animal encounters with sharks, puffins and a variety
of other fascinating species.

You can scuba dive with one of the most diverse collections of sharks and rays on earth at The National Aquarium.

They has signed a five year partnership with Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi creating rehabilitation programmes. This is the largest and most innovative programme of its kind protecting and rehabilitating wildlife in Abu Dhabi.
