Improved Emirates ID form is going to make life much more easier
The application form to apply for a new Emirates ID as been updated with new features. This has been announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (UAEICP).
The new document has a QR code that can be scanned to track your application status.
In addition to this, another QR code features so you can modify your fingerprint appointment date.
Other updates include a space for the applicant’s personal photo, a dedicated part explaining the next steps of the application, space to include the details of the company delivering the ID card and a QR code to send the applicant to the customer voice gateway.
The updated EID application form comes after it was recently announced that UAE residents are now able to get their Emirates ID in 24 hours.
Expat residents who are not GCC nationals are only entitled to use the urgent service when they want to replace a missing ID. To know more click here
