Here’s an opportunity to learn and explore the museum’s collection
The Resource Center at Louvre Abu Dhabi is now open to general public. The Resource Center gives an opportunity to students, researchers, professors an opportunity to learn and explore the museum’s collection.
The new center serves as a facility for materials relating to the documentation, study and preservation of the museum’s collection. It also supports the museum’s research projects through digital resources, an extensive artwork database, and a library collection. To date it offers almost 5,000 books on the museum’s collection and connected art history.
The Resource Center focuses on exchange and the circulation of art as well as the history of collections and collecting.
To assure global reach and a cross-cultural relation, these books of utmost values are available in Arabic, English, and French. They follow an interdisciplinary approach to discover anthropological, historical, aesthetic, and technical connections.
The Resource Center at Louvre Abu Dhabi is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Entry is free of charge and is included in the museum’s admission ticket.
Visitors also have the option of requesting complimentary entry ticket to The Resource Center at the ticketing desk.
