The Long Awaited Qasr Al Watan Opens Its Doors Tomorrow For Visitors

The presidential palace Qasr Al Watan is opening its doors tomorrow after the six month closure during the pandemic.

Qasr Al Watan is one of the most significant tourist attractions that the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi have announced to offer complimentary tickets to frontline heroes. This is part of the government’s tribute to thank and acknowledge the painstaking efforts by the first-responders to the pandemic.

The palace which has been closed since early this year will reopen to its ornate splendor to welcome guest and enlighten them with its culture and heritage. People can visit the site for AED 60 and AED 30 for kids. A visit to this site will be the chance for people to understand the history of the nation’s birth and the ruling families that helped further the development and progress of the monument. In fact, the stories are narrated in the dazzling Palace in Motion Sound and Light show that takes place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The Symphony of the Nation marching band which was a crowd favorite will not be performing on account of Covid-19 and the library too has been closed till further notice.

Similar to all popular attractions in the capitals, guests are required to book their tickets online and be at the venue with masks. The venue is open for public viewing on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 10 am – 6 pm and from midday to 7.30 pm on Thursday – Saturday.
