MOHRE Confirms Ramadan 2024 For Private Sector.

UAE confirms private sector working hours for Ramadan 2024, The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has confirmed private sector Ramadan working hours.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has officially announced the working hours for the private sector during Ramadan 2024 in the UAE. As per UAE labor law, employees in the private sector will have reduced working hours by two hours throughout Ramadan, regardless of their religion. This adjustment, consistent with previous years, allows for a more accommodating work schedule during this holy month.

Typically, private sector employees are required to work eight hours a day, including a one-hour lunch break. However, during Ramadan, this is reduced to six hours of work per day. Additionally, depending on the nature of their work, employees may have the option for flexible or remote work arrangements during this period.

This update ensures compliance with federal decree law No.33 and provides clarity for employers and employees alike regarding working hours during Ramadan in the UAE.
