To mark the 50th UAE National Day, mega activities planned in Abu Dhabi

The 50th UAE National Day falls on 02nd December and the entire country has planned celebrations for everyone. The famous museum in Abu Dhabi ensures visitors an immersive experience as they take you through the museum’s journey.

Louvre Abu Dhabi planned the below activities for all ages to mark the 50th UAE National Day.

  • Senior Emiratis celebrate UAE National Day at The Louvre Abu Dhabi

In collaboration with Social Services Department, Louvre Abu Dhabi welcomed 50 senior Emiratis from Sharjah to celebrate the National Day and the 50th year of UAE. The seniors were onsite with 50 volunteers who accompanied them. The museum assigned 20 Emirati employees who engaged with the senior Emiratis.

They were given a walk inside the galleries to see through their own eyes, perspectives, and experience. Each senior Emirati has received a different experience to discover the museum in an interactive way.

  • Free Entry to Retro Blast at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Celebrating the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, Louvre Abu Dhabi invites you to an immersive retro, roller-skating event transporting you to the past with immersive projections and music. Walls will have archival images of the UAE that showcases the 70’s to date.

Renowned Emirati talent, DJ Bliss will be mixing music from the region with a twist. The UAE’s inline skating MADROLLERS CLUB will entertain with a range of stunts. If you wish to join them in the rink, bring your skates and roll with them.

  • Online masterclass with emerging Emirati Artist

Louvre Abu Dhabi

The online masterclass series will be hosted by emerging Emirati Artists on Louvre Abu Dhabi’s website. After engaging with artworks from the Louvre Abu Dhabi permanent collection, the artist will lead you to a skilled-based art activity season. This is designed to encourage you to experiment and develop your technical skills.

Join Taqwa Al Naqbi as she demonstrates how to make handmade paper with an aged look inspired by the Qur’an Commissioned by Sultan ‘Abdullah II Al Sa’adi .
