The UAE’s On the Lookout For Young Environmental Activists

The burning topic of climate change demands immediate action.

Unfortunately, its worsening effects will only continue for years, affecting not just the people who are here today but future generations as well.

This is the reason why educating the youth about the issue and the accompanying catastrophic consequences of climate change is needed as early as today.

Climate Change job alert

With this in mind, Connect with Nature has launched an initiative to find 20 young environmental activists to help spread the word and take action to save planet Earth.

The programme, called Ambassador for Nature, is supported by the Emirates Nature-WWF, Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi, and the International Fund for Houbara Conservation.

All three mentioned agencies will help successful candidates to learn more about what it takes to protect nature and gain skills and knowledge that will help conserve nature around us.

The programme is open to people aged between 15 to 30 years old. They will assume the role of honorary UAE Nature Ambassadors.

Candidates only need to to download the Connect With Nature mobile app, collect badges on the app, refer friends to join and create a short video to explain how they would make a difference as an ambassador.

They will then receive a completion certificate after the first step.

A select panel of judges will select 20 successful applicants to take in for the programme.

The list of winners will be revealed on 5th June, which is World Environment Day.
